Melanie is doing well and slowly recovers. She had the bandages taken off today. The attending nurse commented that her incision, just over four inches long, is the smallest she has ever seen. Melanie’s goals for the day: Walk 30-40 feet. Visit with Claire.
She was successful on both counts. Starting tomorrow (Sunday) she will be ready for a handful of visitors. If you are local and want to stop by call Scott’s cell phone. She is on a three hour cycle where she needs a little private time, so if you drop by unexpectedly be prepared to hang out in the waiting room for 10-20 minutes.
Claire celebrated her second day by working up enough strength to cry (she was not strong enough to cry early on). More pictures are posted to mclewin.net.
